Methylobacterium radiotolerans
Methylobacterium radiotolerans is a Bactérie Gram negative aerobe in the shape of stick. The pink color very characteristic of its colonies is due to the Caroténoïde S which it produces. It also produces Bactériochlorophylle. The kind Methylobacterium is divided into two groups according to the low or raised metabolic activity species. Mr. radiotolerans belongs to the group with high metabolic activity.
