Methyl red

The red methyl is an indicator of pH.

  • Nomenclature: acid diméthylamino-4 phénylazo-2 benzoic

  • molar Mass = 269,3 g/mol

It is red with pH lower than 4,4, yellow beyond 6,2 and orange between the two.
