Method Man

Clifford Smith alias Method Man is a American Rap fear born on April 1st 1971 with Hempstead, Long Island. He is member of the Wu-Tang Clan, and he leads in parallel a career solo or in collaboration with other rappeurs such Redman.

Biography

Method Man had a delicate childhood with the separation of his/her parents. It was quickly attracted by the Hip hop, but also by the Cartoons, in particular Ghost Rider and this passion will feel later until in the choice of its pseudonyms or the realization of clips. He trailed his adolescence between odd jobs and drug traffickings. After being become well-known in its district for its rhymes, it joined eight friends to form the Wu-Tang Clan at the beginning of the Années 1990.

As of the first album of Wu-Tang, Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers , Method Man has the privilege to only grate on a whole song. Method Man is pointed out for the first time on the refrain of mythical “the C.R.E.A.M.” (Cash Rules Everything Around Me). The first album solo of Method Man, Tical , left in 1994 was sold to more than one million copies and includes/understands the tube “Bring The Pain”. He collaborated then with Mary J. Blige and Redman for a series of tubes, of which “All I Need”, before recording the second album of Wu-Tang, Wu-Tang Forever . In 1998, Method Man left its second album solo Tical 2000: Judgment Day , which was strongly influenced by the theories of apocalypse surrounding the end of the millenium, and which comprised many guests, of which LISA “Left Eye” Lopes, Chris Rock, Mobb Deep, Redman. Method Man made then a round with Jay-Z then recorded an album with Redman entitled Blackout! . He collaborates since in the albums of many artists, as on the last IAM, Revoir one spring .

With dimensions rock'n'roll, it collaborates twice with Limp Bizkit on “N2Gether” and “Rollin”. To remember good old day R&B, it remakes a duet with Mary J. Blige on “Coils @ First Sight” and remix its first tube “Bring The Pain” on Under Construction of Missy Elliott.

More recently, Method Man launched out in the career of actor. It appeared thus in the film Belly at the sides of Nas and DMX, How High a comedy with Redman, while continuing to record with Wu-Tang. In 2004, it published its third album, Tical 0: The Prequel , including/understanding individual “the What' S Happenin” with Busta Rhymes. This album is a commercial failure.

Three years after “Tical 0: The Prequel”, Method Man returns with its very waited new and fifth album studio, entitled “4:21… The Day After”, in the vats since August 29th, 2006 in the United States on Def Jam Recordings and since September 4th, 2006 in Europe and Africa. Realized with the participation of Lauryn Hill, “Say” is the first individual one extracted from “4:21… The Day After”. In “Say”, Method Man is caught some to the critics, to the inaccurate fans and with its detractors who have lack of respect to him, like towards his/her colleagues of the Wu Tang Clan.

In its new album studio, “4:21… The Day After”, Method Man states to concentrate more on the texts that in its preceding albums.
