Method Alpha

The Méthode Alpha is a method for learning how to read while having fun, while learning how with the child to associate the sounds and the letters in a ludic way without passing by written texts.

Principle

To render comprehensible with the child association between the sounds and the letters in a ludic way. When it makes the catch of this association, the turn is played.

Method

Let us take the word " fil" , the child must understand that this word breaks up into 3 sounds " FF; , " iii" and " lll" and that these sounds are represented by the letters " f" , " i" and " l".

One uses, a fairy tale, " The planet of Alphas" who includes/understands any written word, no letter. Each character with the shape of a letter which emits a its associate. For example the " f" is a rocket of which noise of the engine made " FF; , the " s" is a snake which whistles by making " sss".

The association of the sounds is carried out by the meeting of 2 characters, for example if the " fusée" meet " Mr O" , the child hears " FF;.

Experiment

An experiment with 10 children with Doussard in France, showed that the children acquired the catch of the principle of the association of the sound and the letter in 7 days.
