Marie Anger or Marie Tudor (February 18th 1516 - November 17th 1558) was the girl of the king Henri VIII and his first wife Catherine d' Aragon. Queen of England, it is also known under the name of “Marie Bloody” the (Bloody Mary) , because of persecutions towards the Protesting S during her reign of 1553 with 1558.

She is born with the Palais from Greenwich, close to London. Died of his/her father, in 1547, his/her half-brother Edouard VI succeeds the throne. The reign of this last corresponds to an expansion of Protestantism. To its untimely death in 1553, the catholic Marie Tudor is opposed to her Protestant cousin lady Jeanne Grey, heiress designated. After only 9 days of reign, Jeanne Grey is deposited and Marie goes up on the throne. The new queen makes carry out her rival and her father-in-law John Dudley, Duc of Northumberland. The reign of Marie tended towards a return in strength of the Catholicisme.

In 1554, it marries Philippe II, king of Spain (1527 - 1598), only marriage between 2 reigning sovereigns of the history, but it is not a popular marriage. With the assistance of the Spaniards, it tries to restore the religion of her mother, and much of Protestants are put at death. Marie not having had children, her half-sister, Elisabeth I {{Re}}, succeeds to him.
