Metamorphoses of the heart and its symbols

Metamorphoses of the heart and its symbols is a book of the Psychanalyste Carl Gustav Jung whose first edition is appeared in 1912. The original title in German is Symbole der Wandlung ( Symboles of the metamorphosis ). The subtitle is Analyze of the Prodrome S of a Schizophrénie .

This book, today traditional of the Psychoanalysis, marked the rupture of Jung with Freud. Dice its publication, it was abundantly discussed. Jung did not cease thereafter enriching it in three later editions (1924, 1937 and 1950).

At the Jung beginning started from an individual case to widen the field of the psychoanalysis to radically new prospects.
