Description
The history reports the events of the famous video game Metal GEAR Solid (1998) , conceived by Hideo Kojima. One follows there the operation of infiltration of Solid Snake on the island of Shadow Moses, which must prevented the diversion by terrorists of a biped tank equipped with a nuclear deterrent force, the Metal GEAR Rex. The scenario was adapted to the narrative standards of the cartoon and of many passages of the play were rewritten, while remaining faithful to the original history.
According to Gamekult, in spite of the non-participation of Yoji Shinkawa - the official illustrator of the series - with the project, the tone of the drawings remains relatively similar to that of the Artwork S of the video game. Although the work of Ashley Woods has a clean identity, it restores the feature characteristic of Shinkawa with its blow of brushed and dynamic pencil, which gives to the unit an aspect preparatory drafts (sometimes with the detriment of the clearness of the reading).
The version PlayStation Portable is distinguished first of all from the version paper by its dynamism: planchent ravel in manner stylized, of the graphic elements are animated (Phylactère S, Onomatopée S, but also of the elements of the decoration) and of the sound effects as of the background musics were decorated.
In addition, this version proposes Interactivité with the possibility of stopping the reading for “scanner” the images and of unearthing files mémoriels there. By filing and reconstituting his files with other found fragments, the reader has access to further information on the biography of the characters, certain events of the play, etc It acts there of a basket of important information for the unconditional ones of the series Metal GEAR. This information can be exchanged with other players via the Wifi mode.
