Metal GEAR Solid 3: Subsistence
Metal GEAR Solid 3: Subsistence is a Video game of action/infiltration developed by Kojima Productions and published in 2005 by Konami on PlayStation 2. The play belongs to the series Metal GEAR.
On the principle of Metal Integral Solid GEAR and Metal GEAR Solid 2: Substance , the title constitutes a wide version of Metal GEAR Solid 3: Snake Eater , left in 2004.

The play contains three DVD-ROM, entitled Subsistence, Persistence and Existence (all only readable on Playstation 2).
Subsistence
The first disc contains the play Metal GEAR Solid 3: Snake Eater . Compared with the original, this version profits from a free system of camera, making it possible to the player to move the visual angle around the character. This addition was implemented in answer to criticisms of certain players who found the system of camera initial too restrictive. New camouflages and facial paintings were also implemented.The disc includes/understands also the mode “Theater Demonstration”, which makes it possible to re-examine the whole of the scenes kinematics of the play. By meeting certain conditions, it is also possible to unbolt the secret mode “Glance”.
Persistence
The second disc gives access to the mode of Online game. To 8 players can simultaneously take share with the battles in network. Five types of missions are proposed: mission of infiltration, mission of capture, mission of rescue, match with died by team and match with died in solo. In the modes by team, the player has the choice between three units: GRU, the KGB and the Unit Ocelot. The player who has the best score has the privilege to incarnate the special character of his team (Major Raikov, Sokolov and Revolver Ocelot) and consequently becomes occasion about it the leader. A no-claims bonus team, called Rowdy Reiko, allows to incarnate the character Reiko Hinomoto, of the series of play of female wrestling Rumble Roses . Confrontations take share in twelve different environments.
The disc also contains the plays Metal GEAR and Metal GEAR 2: Solid Snake , respectively left in 1987 and 1990 on the computers MSX. The plays are faithful to the originals and were translated into French.
Lastly, the disc contains also additional levels for the mode “Snake against Monkeys”, the mode “Duel”, the mode “Secret Theater” (which proposes parodic vidéos, sometimes new, sometimes interviews on the official site of MGS3).
Existence
The last disc proposes an assembly of kinematics and sequences of one three hours total duration play and half. Less thought like a narrative film than like a summary of “the experiment” of the play, it allows the player and the not-player of living the adventure without touching with the lever. If the film does not present any new scene compared to the original play, the sequence division and the visual angles are sometimes different.
The disc “Existence” contains also the first official trailer card of Metal GEAR Solid 4: Guns off the Patriots , which was presented for the first time in May 2005 at the time of the living room of the video game of the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
