Metacarpus

The metacarpus is the whole of the Os forming the skeleton of the Paume of the Main. The metacarpus is plain in its upper part with the carpus and is prolonged on the level of its lower part by the Doigt S, the whole of the remaining bone linked by the Muscle S interosseux.

He is composed of five small long bones, the bones métacarpiens, which are numbered from 1 to 5, of outside in inside: 1 corresponds to the inch, 5 with the auricular one. Each one is composed of a central body and two thicker ends.
