Mestre Bored Branca

Gilberto Reis or rather Mestre Barba Branca began the Capoeira Angola in the barrio of liberdade (Salvador de Bahia), at the 13/14 years age, with Mestre Traira, raises large Mestre Waldemar.
Little time afterwards, Mestre Traira dies; finding itself then without Mestre it joined the group of Mestre João Pequeno, raises Mestre Pastinha, where there will remain fifteen years until obtaining its title of Mestre in 1991.

After being itself a long time invested in a project called Ibéji with the children of the district of Cabula and in relation to famous the terreiro of candomblé Island Centered Opo Afonjá, Mestre Bored Branca created its own academy in the district of CABULA with Salador de Bahia: The GCAC: Grupo de Capoeira Angola Cabula

It is at this same period that it will create in collaboration of several others mestres, then to chair the first Brazilian association of Capoeira Angola, the ABCA, whose seat is always located in the district of Pelourinho.

Following a meeting between the Master and the Group of Lyon France in 2001 at the time of a training course in Lyon, a joint project was born: the development of the academy in France under the name of GCAC France, today quite present in Rhône Alpes (Lyon, Ardeche, Grenoble)

Today Mestre Bored Branca continuous to animate its academy with its foremen and trainers: Contramestres: Olhos de Anjo - Barberinho - Saved (Brazil) Treinels: Rato - Mão Dez (Brazil) - Tigrão (France)
