Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm
Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm GMBH (MBB) indicates the German aeronautical group created by Ludwig Bölkow and Willy Messerschmitt in 1969 and resulting from successive fusions, in 1965 then in 1980, of the German aircraft industries, successors of the factories Junkers, Messerschmitt, Blohm & Voss, Hamburger Flugzeugbau and Heinkel.
MBB was one of the companies founders of the European group EADS () created at the end of 1999 following the fusions carried out with the French groups aerospatiale and Matra and the Spanish group CASA.
- the old denominations (“Heinkel”, etc) disappeared one after the other after each various fusion.
