Off-tea-Record Messaging , called OTR commonly, is a cryptographic protocol which provides a strong coding for the discussions by Messagerie_instantan%C3%A9e. OTR uses a combination of a algorithm of symmetrical keys AES, the protocol of %C3%89change_de_cl%C3%A9s_Diffie-Hellman, and the function of chopping SHA-1. In addition to the Authentification and the Coding, OTR provides Perfect forward secrecy and Deniable encryption. It is different from the parameter " off the record" in Google Talk, which simply decontaminates the recording of the logs (logging).
