Message Oriented Middleware
Message-oriented middleware (MOM) defines the " couche" Software which is connected to various systems on a Data-processing network while bringing and distributing messages between them.
The messages thus transferred can contain software data, instructions or the two units. Typically, a infrastucture MOM is built around a system which on standby stores the messages to be delivered, but also which keeps a trace of which and of when each message was delivered.
The most known products MOM are:
- IBM MQSeries
- MSMQ of Microsoft
- Tibco Rendezvous
- Synchrony Messaging (Before Axway Messaging System) of Axway
- SonicMQ de Progress Software
