Merlusse is a film French of 1935.
Synopsis
Tell of Christmas. A teacher with the deformed face (one learns at the end that it is a wound of war) is in spite of him the terror of the children of the school. Those make him rotten tricks. The day before the holidays of Christmas, all the teachers leave in their families, only remain with the Merlusse boarding school and the children without family, horrified with the idea to spend the holidays with the monster. This one however takes on its economies to make secretly them some menus gifts and the children realize that it is a man with the good heart and make certainly him in return gifts of ridiculous value material but which are as many evidence of friendship.

Televised version
A televised version was carried out by Georges Folgoas in 1965 with Georges Wilson in the role of Merlusse.
With the theater
Merlusse was presented to the Festival Theater of Aubagne in 1995 with Michel Galabru in the title role. The setting in scene was of Daniel Mesini.
