Merlin source

The Source Merlin is a Fontaine vauclusienne collecting water of the solid mass of the Chasseral, in the Canton of Bern in Suisse. The seepage waters go down until more than 1000 m of depth. They go up in the Cluse of Rondchâtel, where they emergent and are thrown in the river of the Suze. The fountain is practically never dry. At the time of large Raw S, it can output up to 300.000 liters per minute. In period of low water level, the flow of the Résurgence seldom drops below 3000 liters per minute.

The Source Merlin provides approximately half of drinking water consumed by the inhabitants of the town of Bienne.
