Merlerault
Merlerault is a common French, located in the department of the Orne and the area Basse-Normandie.
Geography
History
The 11th century, to Richard Holy-Scolasse, to comrade in arms of the duke Richard {{II}} of Normandy (known as Richard the “Irascible one” or Richard the “Good”, duke of Normandy from 996 to 1026) made gift of the field of the Blackbird to the one of its warriors.

In 1715, the National stud farm of the Pine is built to gather in Normandy the stud farms of the king. It replaces the royal stud farms of Merlerault and Montfort-l' Amaury.
At the 17th century, Merlerault becomes one of the eighteen Relais of station of the royal road of Alençon to Rouen (moved with Nonant-The-Pine in 1784 with the completion of new road 138).

1868: opening of the railway station on the line Paris - Grandville
September 18th, 1944, the place of the town hall is destroyed by the explosion of three American trucks filled with ammunition. It is rebuilt better than with the identical one.
