Merkwiller-Pechelbronn

Merkwiller-Pechelbronn is a common French, located in the department of the the Low-Rhine and the area Alsace.

The common one belongs to the Regional natural park of the Vosges of North.

Geography

History

Pechelbronn is one of the first layers of Pétrole in the world with being exploited, as of 1740 and this until in 1970. The commune of Merkwiller was born in 1888 from that from Kutzenhausen. Its current name of Merkwiller-Pechelbronn is officialized in 1922.
