Merian C. Cooper is a producer, scenario writer, realizer, director of the photography and American actor born the October 24th 1893 with Jacksonville, Florida (the United States), deceased the April 21st 1973 with San Diego (California).

Biography

Merian C. Cooper , born in Jackson City (Florida) in 1893, made the naval college of Annapolis which it leaves in 1915. Before taking part in the First World War in aviation and in Germany, it leaves Georgia School with a diploma for the occupation of technician. During the first war it is made prisoner before being released at the end of the conflict. In the Twenties, it integrates the Polish army to fight the Communists (Russians). It will meet besides in 1919 Ernest Schoedsack on the station platform of Vienna (Austria). This conflict it will leave with the rank Lieutenant Colonel. In 1925 and 1927 the two men will carry out together Grass and Chang , before realizing celebrates it King Kong in 1932. Cooper will continue to produce and realize while innovating technically (Technicolor three bands and Cinérama in end of a career). But especially and the man being an adventurer, it integrates the FLYING TIGERS in 1940. He will take his retirement of the cinema in 1962 and will move into a small house of the army in bay of San Diego (California) In 1971, it will pay a last homage to max Steiner before dying in 1973 of a cancer.
