Mercedes (Buenos Aires)
The town of Mercedes is a city Argentine of the province of Buenos Aires, chief town of the partido of Mercedes, located at 100 km of the town of Buenos Aires, and 80 km of large Buenos Aires.
It is one of the rare towns of Argentina towards where converge three lines of Railroad, which in fact an important crossroads. The city is thus in communication with the great interior centers and outsides: Buenos Aires, all the plain pampéenne, the Andes cordillera and the Pacific.
The city is the place chief of a legal department, is the seat of a Archevêché and has various financial and banking entities.
Moreover it has an aerodrome with two landing strips for Avion S of small and average scale.
In 2006, it had approximately 65.000 inhabitants.
