Mercadonegro

MERCADONEGRO (in Spanish: black-market) is a group of Salsa.

Project MERCADONEGRO was created following the meeting and of major the Amitié of three Latin-American musicians emigrants in Europe with the producer of Bibomusic.

The four friends knew the difficulties and feelings of the emigrated S and cultivated their Latin-American culture; their musical roots were in Latin America. They then decided to spread the music of the latinos in the whole world. They there added new sounds and rates/rhythms and integrated in their music their own style and the experiments which they had made far from their country.

Thus was founded the Mercadonegro group. This name must point out the roots and the heritage of the music Afro-American and also describe the difficult conditions of starting of this new orchestra: a group of young almost unknown musicians which wishes to make known itself and to appreciate in the whole world; who starts at a place where one does not expect Latin-American music, and in more under the young label and independent Bibomusic.

The musical founders of the Mercadonegro group are trained by:

  • Armando Miranda born in 1974 with Havana, in the district " Buenavista" made popular thanks to Buena Vista Social Club, which with studied with the Conservatory of music Felix Varela with Havana and played with Manguaré, Niurka Espinola, Ire Arch.
  • Rodrigo Rodrìguez born in 1974 with Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Singer and percussionnist of the National Ballet of Colombia and Joseito Martinez of Brothers Latin.
  • Cesar Correa born in 1975 with Trujillo, Peru. It received a traditional formation of Piano to the Academy Carlos Valderrama de Trujillo, the academy of Freiburg and the school of Jazz of Bern in Suisse.

Thanks to their meeting with the Violin cuban ist Alfredo of Fe, they will take part in prestigious concerts, Ronnie Scott with London, in New Morning with Paris, the festivals Pavarotti and Friends (Modena, Italy), Montreux Jazz Festival (Swiss), Fiesta (Rome, Italy), Bal of the Rose (Monte Carlo, Monaco) and will play with Carlos Santana, Celia Cruz, Cheo Feliciano, India, Jose Alberto “El Canario”, Richie Ray, Tito Nieves,…

    As of the 1st piece, Mercadonegro gives the tone of the album: explosive Salsa, swinguante with wish and ultra-dancing, which will charm the amateurs of salsa of various influences. The tone will be kept throughout listening.
