Menucourt
Menucourt is a common French, located in the department of the Val-d'Oise and the area Île-de-France, to approximately 40 km in the North-West of Paris. It belongs to the community of agglomeration of Cergy-Pontoise.
Its inhabitants is called Menucourtois (be).
Geography
The commune is bordering on: Courdimanche, Boisemont, Condécourt and Sagy in the department of the Val-d'Oise like the Be worth-on-Seine and Évecquemont in the department close to the Yvelines.
History
The name of the commune comes from Latin minuta curtis , decreased field, or of Minuti curtis , the field of Minutus.
Because of the development of the new City of Cergy-Pontoise in the vicinity immediate, the small village of the Vexin made considerable demographic great strides between 1968 and 1975 with construction many new residences, primarily of the houses, to reach today more than 5000 inhabitants.
