The meniscus is the Surface Courbe of a Liquide and it appears in answer to the surface of the container or another object. It can be convex or concave. A convex meniscus of form appears, amongst other things, with mercury. It occurs when the force of cohesion is higher than the force of adhesion. Contrary, a concave meniscus is formed when adhesion is higher than cohesion. Generally, one observes this kind of meniscus with Eau.
