Menier chocolate

The first shelf of Chocolat Menier appears in 1856.

Installed with Noisiel, the firm starts to decline in the middle of the 20th century, because of the competition of the chocolate bars come from the the United States. The company is then repurchased by various purchasers, whose last, Rowntree Mackintosh (the creator of the famous Lion bar) is repurchased in its turn by Nestlé, which also acquires the factory of Noisiel.

Today, the Menier site, at the edge of the the Marne, is the seat of division France of Nestlé.

The Menier mark still remains thanks to its bar of chocolate pastrycook, but it hardly is proposed, in particular because of the fact that the mark is recognized by the consumers only on the French market. So the multinational prefers its reference " to him; Nestlé dessert".
