Membranophone

A membranophone is a Percussion instrument whose its S are produced by the vibration of a membrane tended on a framework.
The membrane can be struck by a hand as a Djembé, by an instrument (rods, Balai S, etc), as the clear Caisse. It can also enter in vibration using a air volume displacement as with the Mirliton or according to the vibrations transmitted to a stem of which it is interdependent as on the Cuica.
