Origin

Born in Virginia, in Roanoke, Tabitha Smith discovered his mutant capacities and the violence of his/her father, frightened to have given birth to a “monster”.

She flees of the family home and sought of the aurpès assistance Professor Xavier. She meets the Beyonder when this last took a train to go to the Institute. She was téléportée on her planet but asked to return on Earth, because she was not (still) a super-heroin. She succeeds in making him face the Vengeurs.

She took again her life of young absconder and was taken under the wing of the Vanisher and her team of robbers. Vanisher taught him art from the vol. But little reassured by its actions, it called Factor-X. After having met Iceberg and the deer, it decided to follow them to their HQ. It joined thereafter the young team of the X-Terminators and becomes Big Bang.

After Saga unquestionable Inferno , Tabitha and X-Terminators join the Nouveaux Mutants. She falls in love with Rocket. She remains in the team when the latter becomes X-Force, under the command of Cable. She is then made call Boomer and involves herself truly with the combat. She gains a great confidence in her and a control of her bombs thanks to Cable. She is then made call Meltdown.

She improves the use of her capacities with Peter Wisdom, until her “death”. The members of X-Force make pretense then be killed publicly and face the sister of Pete discreetly, Romany Wisdom.

Meltdown helped Cable in a revolution against Weapon X, and joined it again when it reformed X-Force to fight Skornn.

Recently, Tabitha Smith joined the H.A.T.E. (Highest Anti-Terrorism Effort), a subsidiary company of Beyond Corporation, formed to fight the Weapons of Massive Destruction, as a member of Nextwave. This team includes/understands Pulsar (Monica Rambeau, old Captain Marvel/Photon of the Vengeurs, Elsa Bloodstone, and Aaron Stack.

Capacities

Meltdown has the capacity to create balls of unknown energy which it calls of the “time bombs”. These bombs explode with a concussive force. The size of the balls varies from a ball (a kind of large inoffensive detonator) to a ball of volley ball, able to explode trees or objects out of metal. Meltdown can control the duration before the explosion, and even reduce the caused noise.
It can also emit rays of concussive energy.
