History

The Melt-Banana are a prolific group: they left on the whole 8 LP S and 23 EP S. In 1997 they create their own label, named A-ZAP, on which they left most of their work. The group knew changes of ceaseless beaters. They carried out great rounds with the the United States and in Europe, where they conquered a public many thanks to their extremely energetic services in concert. They recently recorded a topic for the program “Perfect Hair Forever”, retransmis on AdultSwim of Cartoon Network. Their last album is entitled “Bambi' S Dilemma” (left the April 24th 2007). They recently finished a round in the United States with Tool.

Style

The music of Melt-Banana is often classified in the Noise rock'n'roll but one can distinguish there from important elements drawn from the Punk rock'n'roll, the Thrash and the Pop, particularly in their last work. Their first albums all, recorded in Lo-fi and with saturated guitars to the extreme are opposed to a certain extent to more recent work like Teeny Shiny , Concealment-Scape and Bambi' S Dilemma , in which one can appreciate a sound more accessible and from better quality.

The Yasuko singer is characterized by her song of an incredible speed, with a more pop sonority on the last recordings. The Agata guitarist uses many effects, so much so that one could believe per moments that it is about electronic machines. He uses a mask of surgery because of a disease which causes him abundant nosebleed.
