Melody cocktail

Melody Cocktail or the Time of a Melody with the Quebec is the 13th feature film of animation and the 10th " Traditional " studios Disney. Left in 1948, it is in fact an anthology of 7 short-measurings in the line of Fantasia (1940) or of the Musical box (1946), including catches of real sights.

Synopsis

Mélodie Cocktail has as a master of ceremony a mask having the voice of Buddy Clark. Each sequence, whose title becomes animated thanks to a brush on a partition of music, is sung by an artist of the years 1940-50.

It is a memory of December ( Once Upon has Wintertime )

Frances Langford tells the history, in the years 1900, of a winter lovesong between two human and two rabbits.

Bumble Boogie

A fly saw a true whimsical nightmare on a music played by Freddy Martin and his orchestra.

Johnny Pip-of-Apple ( Johnny Appleseed )

Dennis Day tells the life of the famous pioneer who traversed the west of the United States by planting apple trees.

Small Toot ( Little Toot )

Andrews Sisters sing the history of a small boat, which, wanting to resemble his/her father, meets many troubles.

With the glory of a tree ( Trees )

Fred Waring and Pennsylvanians interprets a poem, having for topic the trees, of Joyce Kilmer.

It is the fault of the Samba ( Blame it one the Samba )

Sung by Dinning Sisters, this sequence tells the training by Donald and Jose Carioca of the samba taught by Aracuan, the insane bird of the Three Caballeros (1944), accompanied with the organ by Ethel Smith.

Pecos Bill

After having sung Blue Shadows , Roy Rogers and the Wire of the Pioneers tell in Luana Patten and Bobby Driscoll how legendary Pecos Bill was born and fell insane in love with Sweet " Slue Foot" Known.
