Mellilä is a municipality south-west of the Finland, in the province of Western Finland and the area of Finland of South-west.
Mellilä is a small farming community. Until the 19th century, the sector was not distinguished from the remainder of the commune of Loimaa. In 1825, a small church is built with the locality Peränkulma . But It is the construction of the railway line Turku - Toijala (1876) and the opening of small a Gare in 1885, with Juste 2 km of the church, who marked the true foundation of Mellilä. The commune was created and separated from Loimaa in 1916, but today a fusion is again considered.
The commune is very agricultural. It is well connected to the remainder of the country, that it either by the Turku-Toijala railway (since the closing of the station, the station nearest is at Loimaa-city or 12 km) or by the trunk road 9 (Turku- Tampere) which passes in the vicinity immediate of the village.
The municipalities bordering are Koski Tl in south-east, Pöytyä in the west and Loimaa in north.
