Melvin Emery "Mel" Patton , born the November 16th 1924, is old a American athlete , double champion Olympic with the Olympic Games of summer of 1948.

Biography

Born with Los Angeles, Mel Patton was student with the the University of California of the South. It gained the title NCAA over 100 yard in 1947. In 1948 and 1949, it realized doubled on 100 yard and 220 yard . It carried out several world records on 100 yard and 220 yard , beating on 220 yard the world records of Jesse Owens.

One knows few things about Woodring, if they are not that it in the beginning had not been qualified for the Olympic Games of summer of 1920, finishing fifth of the American selections.
