Meizhou

Meizhou (梅州; Pinyin: Méizhōu) is a city of the east of the province of the Guangdong in China. One speaks the dialect there about Meizhou of the Hakka.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Meizhou exerts its jurisdiction on eight subdivisions - a district, a city-county and six counties  :
  • the district of Meijiang - 梅江区 Méijiāng Qū   ;
  • the town of Xingning - 兴宁市 Xīngníng Shì   ;
  • the county of Dabu - 大埔县 Dàbù Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Fengshun - 丰顺县 Fēngshùn Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Jiaoling - 蕉岭县 Jiāolǐng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Mei - 梅县 Méi Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Pingyuan - 平远县 Píngyuǎn Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Wuhua - 五华县 Wǔhuá Xiàn .
