Megaman Battle Network 2 is the second shutter of the series Megaman Battle Network left on the console Nintendo Game Boy Advance.
Synopsis
After the events of the precedent opus all is become again normal and
Lan Hikari quietly took again the courses at the elementary school near his/her comrades. But a new organization,
Gospel (Note: Gospel is the Japanese name of the wolf-robot Treble, companion of Bottom), is born and seeks information to take the control of the
Réseau (the Net).
On the traces of Gospel , Lan and Megaman.EXE end up finding the den of the chief of the organization. This chief is in fact to be only one child who seeks to create a copy of most powerful Navis having never existed, Bass.EXE , to take the control of the Réseau . However a child alone, even a genius of data processing, cannot direct an organization as important as Gospel and it could be thus that car someone else the strings behind all these events. (Dr. Wily of the WWW?)
Description
This play is the continuation of
Megaman Battle Network of which it continues the history; thus it takes again all the mechanism of the precedent opus by adding a new function to it: the Style Changes. Indeed,
Megaman.EXE can from now on change element and of form, and according to the Style which it obtains, it becomes stronger or weaker vis-a-vis an element and can obtain additional capacities.
The gameplay is the same one as for
Megaman Battle Network but introduced some innovations, and the number of chip was changed to 250.

Megaman.EXE can have four
Styles , each one being able to have characteristic of the elements of the play (Fire, Bois, Vent, Eau). the element are obtained by chance, but the
Styles are obtained by using specific chips:
- Style Guts : obtained by removing viruses only with the Mega Buster , the gun of Megaman . Double the capacity of attack to the shooting of Mega Buster and prevents from losing the load of the shooting if Megaman is touched.
- Style Custom : to use the most possible chips. Allows to have each turn seven chips available to charge.
- Style Shield (Shield): obtained by using chips of defense. Megaman begins the combat with a shield; allows by making BAS+B create a new shield.
- Style TEAM : to use the most chips calling upon the allied Navis . Allows to put to eight chips Navi in its deck contrary to the limit normal of five chips Navi .
- HubStyle : Obtained only by beating all the navis V3 of the play with a row of Busting Virus of S to the exepction of Low SP. " Hub" refers to the first name of the twin brother of Lan, prematurely dead in an accident, and whose DNA was inserted in the data of Megaman.
It is about the ultimate style of the play, and when you obtain it, the number of styles in the memory of Megaman only passes from 2 to 1.
Also, NEVER erase it! You can have it only once!
HubStyle is an extremely powerful Style, because it includes ALL the effects of the other styles, with the difference that this style is neutral element.
Program Advance
In this opus also appears the advanced program (
Program Advance ) which allows, while using chips in a certain order, to create an attack much more powerful than the usual chips (this attack can go up to 600 points of damage, for
Life Sword 3 :
FireBlade ,
Aquablade then
Elecblade , all of similar codes). The advanced program is one of the recurring functions in the following opus.
The advanced programs are 32. To carry them out, it is necessary most of the time to use the same one or the same kind of chip whose alphabetic codes are the same ones or is followed.
Example: To obtain a Zeta-Canon 1, you must select three Cannons, of codes has, B and C.
Once activated, you are invisible and can you serve at will as Cane during 5 seconds.
NetNavis
Whereas the characters appearing in this title remain almost the same ones, NetNavis that Lan and Megaman face changed.

Airman.EXE - NetOp: Arashi Kazefuki, Airman can form tornadoes and amalgamate them in larger. Airman tackles the ventilation system in the house of Yai, with the result that dangerous gases are spread in the house. It is the first boss of the play.
- Bass.EXE - camouflaged Navi which appears very late in the play. It attacks with its Low Double Buster (a gun in each one of its arms) and is protected thanks to its LifeAura. It is thought that it stole the program of Life Virus of Megaman Battle Network (1) to form it.
Under the name of Bottom (Real) for its V2 and BassDelux for its V3.
- Bass.EXE (Supernavi) - a clone missed by Bass.EXE which is used as V1 to Bass in this play (although it is not Bass truth.)
- Cutman.EXE - NetNavi solo which work for Gospel and created by Sean Obihiro, it can also launch its scissors on its enemies. He is recognized like the " Commander" defect; special forces of Gospel.
- Freezeman.EXE - NetNavi de Gospel. Sean Obihiro is in the beginning his operator, Freezeman can transform into ice to protect themselves and attack. Freezeman blocks the control system of the environment of Cyber World (or Cyber Monde ), which produces earthquake, floods, and heatwaves, while on the Net of the crystals the access to many parts of the Net blocks.
- Gateman.EXE - Mr. Famous is operator. He can use a large gun and send soldiers starting from a gate in his chest.
- Heatman.EXE - second NetNavi of fire of Mr. Match. It can be protected with its armor, from its form (it resembles a lighter). Its attacks are similar to those of Fireman.EXE, old the navi of Mr. Match.
- Knightman.EXE - Princess Pride is its operator, KnightMan worked at the origin for Gospel and tackled a conference on the activities of the organization, but after, its operator repented. Later it joined the TEAM Colonel at the request of Megaman (Megaman Battle Network 5). It is protected by a thick armor, protecting it from all but also from the majority of the attack mortal.

- Quickman.EXE - Dave " Speedy Dave" Hayami is its operator, Quickman is fast NetNavi which attacks with its Quick Boomerang. It is responsible for the attempt at destruction of the dam Okuden, although Megaman stopped it in time.
- Shadowman.EXE - Mr. Dark is his operator. A epeist employed by Gospel to destroy the principal waiter of Electopia, country where saw Lan and his/her friends. Its style of combat approaches much those of the ninja, of which it takes of them the weapons (Muramasa starting from V2) and forms it.
- Snakeman.EXE - Mrs. Million is its operator, Snakeman hides in its earthenware jar to protect themselves and attack with a fast shooting and snakes.
- Thunderman.EXE - Raoul is his operator, Thunderman is powerful electric NetNavi and more extremely than Elecman (Megaman Battle Network 1). It is entourré by clouds which can obstruct the progression of the enemy.
- Toadman.EXE - Ribbita is one operator, Toadman can launch notes which paralyzes the adversary. Ribbita and Toadman join the TEAM Colonel later to make report on the recent events.
- Pharaohman.EXE - mysterious Navi keeping the entry of the second sector of the waiter of the WWW. It floats in the airs and launches traps through its coffin.

Anecdote
- the play is noticed by the fact that it left little after September 11th, 2001. And in the play, a history implies to stop a member of Netmafia Gospel which pirates and seeks to crush a commercial aircraft.
Derivative products
There exist many products derived from this play.
Most known is animates it, left after this play and not the reverse as certain thinks it. It rather accurately recalls the history of the play with some difference.
