Meetings of Arles

The International meetings of the photography of Arles (often simply named Meetings of Arles ) is a photographic Festival estival annual founded in 1970 by the photographer arlésien Lucien Clergue and the writer Michel Tournier. The festival, an international reference as regards photography, accommodated: 52000 spectators in 2006 including 20% from abroad.

In 2004, the invited police chief was Martin Parr. In 2006, it was Raymond Depardon.
