Meerut
Meerut belongs to the Indian Villes exceeding the million inhabitants. Located at the North-East of New Delhi, the number of inhabitants amounted to 1.074.229 in 2001.
Meerut is the Ville in which the rebellion of 1857 against the colonial occupation started. The cause of the rebellion against the British seems to have been the introduction new rifle S. These weapons used cartridges wrapped in grease of ox and/or pig which was to be open to the mouth before use. This explanation is satisfactory insofar as the Bovin S are crowned for the Hindou S and the Porc S are impure for the Musulman S.
