Medveđa , in Serb Cyrillic Медвеђа and in Albanian Medvegja, is a city and a municipality of Serbia located in the district of Jablanica. In 2002, the city counted 2.810 inhabitants and the municipality of which it is the center 10.760, including 61,30% E Serbes and Albanian 26,17%.

Between 1999 and 2001, an organization called Armed with Release of Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac (Ushtria Çlirimtare E Preshevës, Medvegjës dhe Bujanocit) opera in the area, with the goal to associate these three municipilities with the Kosovo. In 2006, the situation seems stabilized.
