Medical network
In its usual use, the medical network is a group of professionals of the Santé (Médecin, Infirmier, Kinésithérapeute,…) who work jointly to follow the same patients around a Pathologie (for example the diabetes, the Mucoviscidose,…) or because they belong to the same age bracket (for example elderly).
The medical network can have a local, regional or national geographical presence (even international).
While complying with the deontologic rules and ethical related to their professions, the members of the network exchange between them the data of the Medical file of the patient followed in order to coordinate the care.
To communicate, the network uses the traditional means (meeting, file, form, letter, Téléphone, telefax.). But for a few years, thanks to Internet, it has been possible to the members of the network to use a common Web site with protected access as well as emails quantified and authenticated to exchange information and regulations necessary to the follow-up of the patient, whether it is hospitalized or in his residence.
