Medea Sirkas
Medea Sirkas is a group of dance originating in bay of San Francisco (California, E. - U.).
Styles of dance
The group primarily dances of the styles resulting from the musical influence Soul, Funk and Electro. Among these styles:
-
the Fillmore or Fillmo , thus named after a district of San Francisco
- the Boogaloo
- the Strutting
These dances are based on an angular movement of the body, a decomposition of the movements and the insulation of the articulations. With its 25 years of existence, Medea Sirkas carries a history of the local dance of San Francisco and Oakland, which made its international reputation. Another characteristic of the group is the setting in scene of its performances (the group arrives disguised, and mixes the dance, the music, lighting and sometimes it video to deliver to the spectators a complete scenic experiment).
