It is about a French military decoration

This decoration aims at recalling the resurrection of the French Army during the first continental program for the release of Europe during the Second world war. It is decreed with all the members of the French task force for the operations of the 1er December 1943 at July 25th 1944.

Badge

the medal in Bronze is silver plated, one can see on the avers a Coq Gallic of profile being held in front of a rising sun. The inscription on the avers is: " French task force of Italy - 1943-1944" and is surrounded by a crown of sheet of Chêne.

The ribbon is a succession of 7 red bands between 6 white bands thus pointing out the ribbon of the countryside of Italy of 1859 under the Second Empire
