Medal commemorative of the countryside of Dahomey 1892
Instituted by the law of the November 24th 1892 and decreed by the President of the Republic on the proposal of the Minister of which the body depends, service to which they were attached, with all the officers, sailors and soldiers having taken share with forwardings of the Dahomey.
- In the event of death of the soldier or the sailor, the medal is given, as remembering, the oldest son, the widow, the father, the mother or failing this with oldest of his/her brothers.
- the medal is out of money. The diameter of the Module is of 30 Misters It carries on the face the effigy of the Republic, with the words in legend: French Republic; and with the Reverse, under a radiant star, the word Dahomey.
- the ribbon is striped black and Jonquille.
