Mechanoreceptor
A mechanoreceptor is a generic term to indicate sensory Neuron S sensitive to the deformations Mécanique S. the mechanoreceptors are at the base of the direction of the Toucher.
The somesthesic mechanoreceptors of the system exist in a multitude of sub-types sensitive to various types of mechanical stimulations (mechanical Pression, Vibration, Proprioception, blood Pression…) :
- Spindle neuromusculaire
- tendineux Body of Golgi
- Corpuscle of Meissner
- Corpuscle of Pacini
- Corpuscle of Ruffini
- Disc of free Merkel
- nervous Termination
In addition, one finds mechanoreceptors in others sensory systems that the Somesthésie. Thus, the Audition rests on transduction, by the ciliées cells of the Cochlée, of the vibrations of the air transmitted to the liquid cochléaire. These ciliées cells are thus mechanoreceptors.
