Mean anomaly

The mean anomaly is a measurement of Temps, specific to the orbiting body, which is a multiple of 2π Radian S with (and only with) the Périapse. It is the fraction of the orbital Period which is run out since the last passage to the péricentre, expressed in the form of a Angle. In the diagram below, it is M, the angle zcy.

The point is defined there so that the Secteur of Cercle zcy has same surface as the sector of ellipse zsp multiplied by the scale factor (which is equal to the report/ratio of the Main roads to the Petit axis).
