Mean Streets is an American film of Martin Scorsese, left in 1973.
Synopsis
In the district of Little Italy with New York, Charlie and Johnny Boy try to bore in the medium. If Charlie has its chances, thanks to his/her uncle integrated well in the Maffia which promises the management of a restaurant to him, Johnny Boy, accumulated some debts to him which it cannot honor and multiplies what seems provocations more and more. Charlie, marked by the religion and the figure of Holy François d' Assise, tries to save Johnny Boy which condemns itself more each day… This film marks the first of eight collaborations between the realizer Martin Scorsese and the actor Robert De Niro. After several rather confidential films, this last exploded truly with Mean Streets. The following year, it turned the Parrain 2 under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola, interpretation masterly which was worth the Oscar of the male best supporting role to him. It should be noted that the song of the credits of beginning is not other than the standard of the Ronettes, Be My Baby. One can also hear in film celebrates it tube of the Rolling Stones, Jumping Jack Flash, which correspond precisely to the first appearance of Johnny Boy, the character played by Niro.
