Meadow of the Rock
Prairie of the Rock was a French establishment with the Pays of Illinois, into High Louisiana until the transfer of the Traité of Paris of 1763. The site of this old French village is part from now on of the state of the Illinois to the the United States.
The station fell then under the administration from the Fort from Chartres, capital of High-Louisiana set up in 1719 - 1720, which was with a few kilometers in the west.
