McDonnell Douglas MD-12

The McDonnell Douglas MD-12 was a project of Airliner lance by the American airframe manufacturer McDonnell Douglas in the Années 1990.

Initially, it acted of a lengthened version and with higher capacity of the tri-jet MD-11. During the development, the drawing evolved/moved in the four-jet aircraft 2 bridges by increasing the length of the Fuselage. The project was announced in April 1992. The concept is very similar to that of the future Airbus A380 or the Boeing NLA and would have been broader than the Boeing 747. In spite of an aggressive campaign marketing, particularly in the aeronautical press, no order of will have placed for the apparatus and it will be finally abandoned after fusion in 1997 between McDonnell Douglas and Boeing.
