Mbara Goulongo Guérandi is a Militaire and politician Cameronian.
Biography
Born with Douala in 1954, Mbara Goulongo Guérandi was thus six years old when the Cameroun obtained its independence. Wire of officer of the army, he discovers, with the liking of the family peregrinations in the various areas where his/her father is affected, the diversity of the country and social realities of the populations.At the end of its secondary studies, in 1972, it is allowed with EMIA (Military academy Inter-Arm) of Yaounde. It will leave second lieutenant there three years later, in promotion “May 20th” which included/understood young African officers, in particular Burkina Faso (at the time the Upper Volta) with which it tied a solid and durable friendship.
It is sent then in West Germany where, during four years, it will follow a training of artillery senior officer in an academy of the Bundeswehr.
Of return to the country in 1979, it is integrated in a unit of artillery into Dschang (Western of Cameroun). With a group of officers, it creates, within certain units of the army, the clandestine cells of reflection which will play an active role in the patriotic rising of April 6th, 1984 against the mode Biya which is a pillar of the system Ahidjo.
Rising is a failure. Only survivor of the initiating group of this patriotic rising, condemned to death, it is the object two months lasting of a true hunting for the man. He however succeeds in leaving Cameroun in June 1984, for an exile which has lasted for twenty years.
Accommodated to the Burkina Faso, it contributes to the training of young officers in the Military academy lately created, and is devoted to the drafting of its book (“Cameroun: an army without defense”) in which it analyzes the causes of the failure of April 6th, 1984. The book leaves in 1987.
Mbara Goulongo Guérandi then decides to follow a course in the field of the International relations and obtains in 1997 a doctorate in Political sciences under the direction of Pascal Chaigneau (Université Rene Descartes, Paris V).
Since, Guérandi founded and directs a cabinet of studies in strategic, economic and social questions to Africa. He is also professor of International relations (Géopolitique, Géostratégie).
He animates moreover from Paris the action of the Cameronian Patriots for “refonder Cameroun” by building a democratic State with the service of all the populations joined together around an interdependent society project and thrives with the measurement of the secular traditions of this country and his immense resources. According to the newspaper " Afrique" young person; , Mbara Goulongo Guérandi is the principal current figure of the Cameronian political opposition abroad.
