Maztica

Maztica is an imaginary continent located on the planet Abeir-Toril in the Roleplay Donjons and Dragons.

Beyond of Eternal-Meets and of the Inviolate Mer, is a continent discovered recently by the nation of Amn. Its inhabitants name it Maztica, the True World. Its existence showed through in various stories since millenia, but it is only at the time of the voyage of the Cordell Captain in 1361 CV that the veil of insulation was raised and the True revealed World.

Maztica is a wild ground, and as regards discovered until now, primarily made up of vast jungles and thick forests. Its inhabitants live very simply, gathered in small communities or city-states based on the religion. Their nonconventional magic uses feathers and claws like objects of concentration. But the extent of their capacities, as well as the nature of their gods, remain unknown.

The revelation of the existence of Maztica had only little effect on the large one of the Kingdoms, because there exists more than enough of places where to go and of monsters to be overcome without undertaking a maritime long voyage. The empires of the Coast of the Swords and the insular kingdom of the gnomes, Lantan, on the other hand asserted each one the property of broad band of ground of the new country (without same consulting those which lived there already). New richnesses thus flowed on these grounds, making their leaders much more powerful, but also involving a gigantic inflation.

Six years after the revelation, one still does not know large-thing of this remote ground. Maztèques and their artefacts start to flow into the Kingdoms, and are a subject of comments and curiosity. Their magic containing feathers (plucked) and of claws (hishna) discouraged the wise ones; new vegetables made their appearance on Féérune and the warriors maztèques, like all the warriors of the world, are judged according to the force of their arm and the courage of their heart.
