Mazerulles
Mazerulles is a common French, located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle and the area Lorraine.
Geography
From its situation on the road map, Mazerulles is well-known people who go in the ducal city by the RN 74 or by those which wish to go to the Moselle by this same main road.It is located at 17 km in North East of Nancy on the RN 74, at 13 km of Castle-Saline, 2,5 km of Sornéville and Champenoux, and 3,5 km of Bit-on-Pail.
Located in the canton of Seichamps, it is a small commune of 260 inhabitants whose surface does not exceed 617 hectares, although, since 2004, its inheritance grew rich by 41 hectares 85 ares of forest which were given to the commune. A small allotment currently enters its phase of construction. Thanks to the 14 awaited houses, it will increase its population somewhat.
History
A Charter of Renaud, bishop of Toul, year 1110, bearing confirmation of the goods of the Abbey of Saint-Epvre of the same city, mentions the donation which had been made with this abbey by Bencelin, knight of Mazerules (of Maccroles), of all that it had at the village of Champenoux. In 1283, the brothers of the house (Commanderie) of Robécourt and that of Midsummer's Day of Old Aître close to Nancy, give up with the duke of Lorraine Ferry III four delivered ground to resident of Toul which they had on the Saline of Rosières and on the revenues and resulting from Fléville, and this prince gives them in exchange “touz the homes and all the women with lour tenemens”, which there is downtown of Maizerueles, reserving the guard, high justice, etc (Ordre of Malta).A title of 1479 fact mention of a farm which the Pécheresses ladies of Nancy had in Mazerules. December 2nd, 1612, Jean Pelletier, police chief of the Salpetre S with the Duchy of Lorraine, its reversales because of ascensement gives to him makes of 25 arpents and three quarters of wood located to the round of applause of Mazerules. By letter patent of March 28th, 1618, the duke Henri confirms the treaty passed, in 1283, between the duke Ferry and the commander of Jean Saint touching the rights of average and low justice given to the lord commander of the village of Mazeruelle In 1712, the community is made up only of approximately 30 inhabitants.
It is an old commune of the Canton Castle-Saline. Remained French in 1871, it was attached to the Canton of Nancy-Is.
