Mazarine academy
The Académie Mazarine was founded in homage to Giulio Mazarino known under the name of Mazarin, born with Pescina in 1602 and died in Vincennes in 1661.
In 1648, it founds the Royal Académie of Painting and Sculpture.
The Mazarine Academy is a brotherhood of Masters which perpetuates the memory of the Mazarin Cardinal, but it is also a gathering of people devoted to arts. The Mazarine Academy has as goals to honor and reward for the talented artists by various dinstinctions on its behalf.
