Mazamet (In Occitan, Masamet ) is a common French located in the department of the Tarn and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Located at the borders of the departments of the Tarn and the Aude, it is with équidistance towns of Béziers and Toulouse. History

By looking at this table, one notes indeed a fall of important demography that it is necessary however to moderate. Indeed, number of Mazamétains, with the boom of construction in the years 1970, settled in the immediate surroundings of the city and so changed commune. Rally Black Mountain June/July (According to calendar)
With the final of the cut of France of Rallys in 2002, the Black Mountain with changed dimension. Francine Guéné, Esclarmonde or the legend of the gold comb, historical novel with the editions of Hydre, Cahors, 2005. This history tells how a comb would have given single qualities to the river which sprinkles Mazamet, allowing centuries later the installation of the industry of the Délainage.
