Mazamet (In Occitan, Masamet ) is a common French located in the department of the Tarn and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Laurent Jalabert: Born in Mazamet the November 30th 1968
In 2007, Mazamet accommodated the Tour de France. It constituted a departure of stage starting from the Garden of the walks, on Sunday, July 22 to join the Plate of Beille, in the Pyrenees. It was the 1st Pyrenean stage.

Rally Black Mountain June/July (According to calendar)
With the final of the cut of France of Rallys in 2002, the Black Mountain with changed dimension. Francine Guéné, Esclarmonde or the legend of the gold comb, historical novel with the editions of Hydre, Cahors, 2005.
