- Morocco: the Marinides, confederation of Berber Zénètes, seize Meknès. Saïd, successor of the caliph Almohade Abd el-Ouahid II, stops their progression temporarily. The sultan marinide Muhammad Ben Abd Al-Haqq is killed. His/her brother Abû Yahyâ succeeds to him.

June: Nearly six thousand riders Turkish of the Khârezm, driven out by the Mongolian , arrives in Syria, plundering and holding to ransom the cities. The Khwarezm iens launch out to the attack of Damas. They plunder the close villages and ransack the orchards of the Ghouta, but in front of the resistance of the city, they move towards Jerusalem.
- July 11th: The Khwarezm iens occupy without sorrow Jerusalem. The franque population is mainly saved, but the city is plundered and set fire to. The khawarezmiens, at the time of a new attack against Damas, are decimated a few months later by a coalition of the princes Ayyoubides.
