Mayfair is a district located at the west of London in the Cité of Westminster. The district is delimited with the Northern by Oxford Street, with the western by Park Lane, with the Southern by Piccadilly and with the Is by Regent Street. It is also joint pretty London parks of Hyde Park and Green Park

History

there “ Mayfair ” car its name of a large fair was held each year until in 1706. Following that, the architect, Edward Shepherd reorganized the district. In 1735, it made build a large market as well as dwellings in the neighborhoods, especially of the small houses. It is on this occasion that was born the place Shepherd Market. Thereafter, the high society occupied the district there edifying of large buildings of style victorien. Moreover, this site benefitted from the clogging of the City, Mayfair being used as place of substitution.

Today

Nowadays, Mayfair is a noble and prestigious district in particular accommodating embassies as well as shops of luxury very appraisals. Are there for example the embassies of the United States, Canada and Italy around Grosvernor Square. The famous brands of luxury are also numerous in this district on the commercial arteries of Oxford Street, Piccadilly Street and very smart the Bond Street. One also finds large hotels there, in particular on Park Lane as well as famous restaurants.

It y' has also Mayfair coffee with Montreux in Suisse which is a bar extremely frequent.
